Castries, St. Lucia will be the venue of the 19th Caribbean Cardiology Conference from July 14-17, 2004. The Caribbean Cardiac Society will host this year’s Conference at the magnificent Sandals Grande Resort, under the theme “Managing Change in Cardiac Care.” Participants from over eighteen (18) countries are expected to attend the most important event of the year for cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, physicians (with an interest in Cardiology) and allied medical personnel. During the Conference a special award will be presented to a Caribbean Institution that has made a significant contribution to the treatment of cardiac patients in the region.

The Caribbean Cardiac Society in its 19th year continues to live its mission, which is: “the advancement of knowledge of diseases of the heart and circulation among the medical and paramedical professions in the Caribbean.” This mission is embodied in the annual meeting, which serves as the primary forum for the dissemination of new and critical information relevant to cardiac care in the Caribbean.
